How AI Rank Inspector Works

AI Rank Inspector runs a structured audit of the webpage currently open in Chrome. It examines observable page-level signals, groups the results into four audit sections and shows where improvements may be needed.

You can review the report without moving between several SEO tools or manually inspecting every page element.

Audit a Page in Four Steps

Open the Webpage

Visit the page you want to review.

You can inspect your own content before publishing, review an existing page or analyse a publicly accessible competitor page.

Select the Page Context

Choose the page type and enter the main topic when relevant.

This helps the extension distinguish between recommendations suited to articles, service pages, ecommerce pages and other content formats.

Run the Audit

Open AI Rank Inspector in the Chrome side panel and start the page analysis.

The extension reviews available technical, content, AEO and GEO signals from the rendered webpage.

Review and Prioritise

Start with the section carrying the weakest score and the issues offering the most recoverable points.

Check the available evidence before making changes. Some recommendations require editorial judgement rather than automatic implementation.

What Happens During an Audit?

The extension reviews signals in four categories.
